If you are a snowboarder at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, beware of Asian chicks trying to polish your medal.

Scotty Lago, who won the bronze medal in Halfpipe on February 17th, volunteed to leave the Olympics after the photo on the right was taken and started making its rounds on the internet.

I can’t be too upset about this because he is a snowboarder. The problem that I have is why even have snowboarding at the Olympics if you are going to send someone home because of a photo such as this. Just tell snowboarders to not have any fun whatsoever while they are at the Olympics. Cut Scotty a break.

Snowboarding still seems like more of a recreational activity than an Olympic event,so I think her actions are completely appropriate,it’s all in fun, though if one of the Asian female athletes wins gold,I would love to show her the same kind of admiration!

I don’t know why these committees take snowboarding so seriously to the point where they need to take the fun out of it. It’s snowboarding. But if I won a medal, I would definitely try to find a hot Asian chick that would like to polish it.

I don’t know if he left voluntarily or was asked to leave for “the good of the games”
or “the sake of the sport”,sure,it would be a shame to tarnish the image of snowboarding, haha, and also makes me wonder that if the same thing had happened to Kristi Yamaguchi or Michelle Kwan, would they have been expected to go home?,anyway, the whole thing is a joke, but adds some spice to the Vancouver winter!

I think it’s due to there being a bias towards snowboarders because he would still be in Vancouver if this wasn’t an issue, because if that was me, I would still be there. But once it got out on the net, I’m sure someone got upset and made him volunteer to leave. And if it was someone else in that situation like a Michelle Kwan, mostly likely they wouldn’t be asked to leave either. Oh well.

Yes,he has some bragging rights for sure, but I hope he got more than just a kiss on the medal before he left Vancouver, and I hope she was worth it!

A bronze medal in Halfpipe is not the Nobel Peace Price and he did not get the medal for chastity either. I say this although I am not interested in snowboarding at all.

My favorite sport at the winter olympics is figure skating, for sure ;-) For those who did not watch: Kim Yu-Na, Asada Mao, Nagasu Mirai, Ando Miki, Suzuki Akiko, Kwak Min-Jung, Liu Yan, and Cheltzie Lee made a great show.
