On the forum, we are currently celebrating the 6th anniversary of ScanLover Forum. You can click here to check out the history of the forum. ScanLover Forum was established on September 10, 2004, and six years later, we are still going strong.

I’m fortunate that I was a part of almost 5 of the 6 years that ScanLover Forum has been around. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to keep a site such as this one up and running for so long. I’ve seen many sites come and go in my time. For SLF to still be around is truly an accomplishment, and it all thanks to scanlover himself for maintaining the site, and from the contributions of the staff and forum members who’ve helped make ScanLover Fourm the site that it is today.

In case you missed it, someone “hacked” our site and placed a survey where unless you answered the questions properly, you would have been banned from the forum. But don’t worry, forum access has been restored and the survey no longer bans you based on your response to the survey questions.

I was banned immediately for being a cheapskate, so I am glad that access was restored. What’s really interesting are the statistics and responses that were received from this survey. If you would like to check out the statistics and aftermath, please click here.

Since today is Christmas Eve, I wanted to take a moment to say Happy Holidays to all of our members here on ScanLover Forum. It’s also been a while since I wrote an update, so continue reading to find out what’s been going on since my last update.

Initially, I wanted to post a weekly update here on the ScanLover Blog, which soon turned into bi-weekly. It’s also been about a month since my last update back in November. I got sick after posting my last update, and since then I have been busy along with not having enough content to encompass a bi-weekly update, I’m now going to move to a monthly schedule for updates. I’m going to post updates at the beginning of each month with my next update coming in February 2010, so be sure to look out for it.

The big news that happened since my last update is that JAVTalk was shut down. If you happened to miss this development, then you can go here to find out the details. I just wanted to thank turbogek for providing the staff here at ScanLover and to those who found their way here from JAVTalk info on this situation.

The big news for me is finding out that Olivia Munn is in the January 2010 edition of Maxim. And to my surprise, there wasn’t a thread for her within the forum, so just now I went ahead and created on here. I will be adding more pictures to it soon, so be sure to check it out.

I’ll end this post with a Christmas video from Jun Natsukawa since she also wanted to with you guys a Merry Christmas and some assorted Asian beauties that I wish I could spend the holidays with. Today is Thanksgiving here in the United States. Millions of Americans will be getting together to enjoy some turkey and watch some football, then waking up early in the morning on Friday if they haven’t already went to wait hours in line so that they can spend their money on deeply discounted merchandise. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I just wanted to take a moment to give thanks along with provide some updates. So continue reading the Thanksgiving edition of What’s New In ScanLover.

I just wanted to give thanks to scanlover for everything. And we are still going strong after 5 years. I also want to give thanks to the staff and to the dedicated members of the forum because without you guys, ScanLover Forum wouldn’t be my home on the internet.

The forum has a wealth of content, but one thing that we did not have was a dedicated section for scans. Personally, I thought it was odd that we didn’t offer a section for scans when we are ScanLover Forum. And now we do called Scan Collections. Scan Collections will house work by actual scanners along with additional information related to scanning. I will be doing an official announcement and posting the rules soon, so be on the lookout for that.

Lastly, I want to leave you guys with one recommendation. Her name is Lin Ketong and she is a cutie. Do check out her thread in Beauty Boutique.

I might as well start off by telling you guys what’s new with this column. Initially, I wanted to do a weekly column recapping the goings-on within ScanLover Forum. I had a feeling that it would go to a bi-weekly schedule, and going forward, this will be posted every two weeks. With that announcement out of the way, continue reading for this edition of What’s New In ScanLover for the weeks of October 25 – November 7.

You may have noticed that this column is not called What’s New In ScanLover instead of This Week In ScanLover. Now that the column will be bi-weekly, that title didn’t make much sense. So the name has been changed. The reason that the column will be bi-weekly is because there weren’t enough updates to put into a weekly column. But that’s fine though. It will also give users something to look forward to.

Zanmato79, who is a moderator/admin over at Asiansthetic, has accepted our invitation to come on board and help us continue to make this forum the best one possible, and personally, I’m glad that he is now part of the team. Speaking of Asiansthetic, you may have noticed the welcome message at the top right of the forum. I don’t know how long Asiansthetic will be down for, but I do hope that the wanderers from there continue to make ScanLover Forum their home as well if it wasn’t already.

I thought that it would be a great idea to have a regular column here on the blog that encompasses the latest news, updates, and recommendations on what to check out. With so much going on within the forum, it’s hard to keep track of it all. My goal is to post this column on a weekly basis, but depending on updates, it could be on a bi-weekly schedule. So here is What’s New in ScanLover for the week of October 18-24.

I want to start this introductory post with the big news that was announced on the 21st is that the forum is now free of advertisements. You can go here to find out the latest on this development. The forum used to consist of several advertisements that were on rotation in the top right corner which went to fund the site upkeep. However we are in some hard times, so the main sponsors whose ads were on rotation have closed up shop. So without that funding, we are left to figure out how to close that gap to keep the forum up and running.

You can always help the forum by donating. Ideally, we are looking for those who would like to purchase ad space on the largest site on the internet devoted to Asian beauty. If you are interested or know someone who may be interested, please contact scanlover at webmaster@scanlover.com.

My main goal is to get recommendations for forum members for this column to content for others to check out. If there something that you would like to recommend, let me know. You can do so by either leaving me a visitor message on my profile, by sending a private message, or you can email me your recommendation at candyman215@gmail.com. I will then check it out. If it’s good, I will add it to this column and give you credit for the recommendation.

I’ve also asked the staff to provide some recommendations as well. I’m hoping there will be more staff recommendations once this column gets rolling.

I will be ending each column with a couple of my personal recommendations within the forum to check out. My first recommendation is for Micaela. I would like to thank borderline for introducing me to this beauty because she is amazing.

Adult Theater – I’m pretty sure that I don’t need to explain this section, but here you will find direct links to JAV and other adult content.
